hands were busy transforming the House of God into
a beautiful garden with shrubs and young trees, and
flowers ——flowers ——wherein  He could worthily
celebrate the anniversary of His Resurrection this coming
morning.  It filled your heart with happy anticipation of
the great Easter message：　" My peace be with you "

　暗い中で並んでいると、慈愛の手が（奉仕活動の人たちが）
忙しく神の館（教会）を低木と苗木、それに花々で美しい庭園
にしてしまおうとがんばっている姿がみえました．その中で、
主が復活記念の朝を迎えて祝うに相応しい庭園にしようと変えて
いる慈愛の手でした．それは人の心を「汝に平和あれかし」とい
う偉大なイースターのメッセージを予感させる幸福で満たしまし
た．

shrub：低木、灌木、根元から枝分かれしている木はすべてshrub
      ハイマツ、ツツジ、レンギョウなど．根本でなくても低い
　　　ところ（人の背丈以下）で枝分かれする木はshrub．高原地
　　　帯に多いが本文のように庭園鑑賞用にもなる．
wherein：in + where ；関係副詞制限用法として訳しますが、平たく
　　　非制限で
　　　　「その中では～」
　　　と訳してもいいと思います．つまり難しく考えず、
