　　The Birthday Child went now from one to the other and
was kissed, wished a happy birthday , and presented with a
flower.  It may come from the flicker of the candles on your
cake with one breath, the wish will come truth.  Then the
presents were discovered and admired and each giver found
out,  which meant renewed kissing and hugging.  Then he or
she was made master of ceremonies for the next twenty-four
hours.  That meant the menu for three meals and the plans for
 " what to do to-morrow after school is over. "

  お誕生日の子は家族の一人一人のところに挨拶に行って
キスと誕生日の祝福の言葉を受けます．そして花を添えて
もらってプレゼントを受けます．  ケーキに立てられた
ローソクの火が一息かかって揺らめいて、その揺らめきで
願いが叶います．それからプレゼントが開けられ、何だった
のかが判明し、称賛されます．そして各々、贈った人たちが
言い当てられます．そうすると、再び贈り主と誕生日の子と
の間でハグとキスが始まります．誕生日の子は、男の子でも
女の子でも、向こう２４時間は、儀式のチーフになります．
チーフになったら、３度の食事の献立と、翌日の学校から帰
った時をどう過ごすかのプランが任されます．
