【裏庭で】
ゴタ ： While the garden facing south
had no water no moss,
this one is abundant with moss
with water・・・
さっきの庭は、水もなかったし、
苔もなかったけど、
裏庭は、水も苔もありまっせ。
クラウディ
アさん ： Why ?
なんで？
ゴタ ： It's because wavering things
like water make often obstacles
against meditation.
Buddhist monks usually practice
meditation facing south.
それはね。水などの揺れるものがあると、
禅修行の妨げになるからですよ。
お坊さんたちは、禅をするときは、
南に向いてするんです。
クラウディ
アさん ： I know. You said the same thing
at the Kinkakuji temple.
わかっているわ。あなた、金閣寺でも、
同じ事を言っていたもの。
But don't you think the moss around
here never wave in the wind ?
あなた、でも、この苔ね、
風で揺れるとでも思うの？
【つくばい】
ゴタ ： This is a famous stone basin
this temple features.
これはこの寺自慢のつくばいです。

ディアさん ： What did they use this basin for ?
何に使ってたのかしら？
ゴタ ： They washed hands before tea ceremony.
お茶の前に手を洗ってたのです。
クラウ
ディアさん ： Oh yes, I understand.
This basin was new in old times
as well as water.
ええ、そうね。
昔は、中の水もつくばいも、
きれいだったのでしょうね。

送って下さいませんか？
ゴタ ： Vamos al Kyoto estacion.

京都駅に行きましょう。
このスペイン語に、みなさん、おおはしゃぎ。
